the girl down the street said her dog couldn't bark cause a man with an axe cut it's voice box out.

Finally it is holidays and I can taste the sweet freedom of couch potatoing. The endless fantising is now reality.
Oh sweet holidays here you come
The reunition between couch and bum
And Friends waiting in the box set
Screamed "LET US OUT"
But not yet, not yet.

Wait until term is done
Becuase essays are no fun.
And no one likes studying scale,
factorising makes me go pale.

I dream of a time
When my teacher won't whine
When I write a contraction
Or misread a fraction.
When uniform doesn't envelope me
and skirts can be above the knee.

O' holidays, you let me be a lazy child.
You let me have my hair wild.
Let it sprawl messily around my head.
And spending 6:55 am in bed!

Will I have to go to school?
And obey the rule
to wear your blazer
and stick with the law?

Quoth the Raven, "Nevermore"

HA HA! bet you didn't expect that RANDOM POEM ATTACK!!! 9.5 on the Richter scale. Pretty good for an improvised poem. And that sneaky Edgar Allan Poe maneouver at the end. WOW, it probably BLEW YOUR MIND!!!! and you'd be like "DUDE! too much Awesomeness!. I need some awesome proof cream and some heavy duty sunglasses."

I am going to show you people my hoodie, that I made at school. I think it's pretty beeping awesome. And it reminds me of hot dogs.

Please notice the colour, mustard. Which has been described as the ugliest colour ever. And also the wicked sick awesome bro animal material for the pockets and hood. AND that snail iron on subtly placed over I whole I made when I got a bit peeved at the hoodie.

OH and last night me and my friend ( Not my friend and I, but me and my friend! ha ha take that school!Yes education I am talking to YOU!) Well ME and my friend dyed our hair temporarily last night. She did hers all blue, which didn't come out as bright as it could have, but still looks cool with some purple streaks she added. And I was allowed a grand total of 7, yes, you heard correctly ladies and gentlemen, SEVEN  STREAKS! They are in a colour called Vendetta Red and look pretty cool if I don't say so myself.

So this is the closest I am going to get to actually dying my hair probably EVER! Or at least till I finish school, which is aaaaaaages. But I would never go blonde or anything, too many people have told me how cool my hair is. Plus i would look so wierd with blonde hair. dreadlocks would be awesome though:)

Have any of you people done anything awesome with your hair??? I know Holly from the Holly Rivers Show (formerly the fashion turd) has awesome hair and has had dreads which is so so so so cool!!

I will be back soon with more awesomeness or if not some generally random poem attacks.

And all the colours of the rainbow fell in my eyes

I have been feeling very comic bookish, mostly due to the fact I borrowed the Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy the graphic novel (a fancy word for comic) from my school library. I felt so cool when I was reading it, like I could imagine being a kid who saves up her pocket money and walks down to the comic book store every Saturday to buy one comic which she spends the rest of the week reading, normally under the covers with a torch when she's not meant to.

The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy was really good and I finished it very quickly. But it was just SO random. Like randomness levels I couldn't even comprehend. Okay, not that random, but very random indeed. So I took some pictures of it and also some pictures of the Pokemon handbook as well:

Its so catchy

Here is my favourite pokemon:
His name is Bulbasaur.

Then he gets a bit TOO fancy for my liking:

I was also getting inspired by some BMX bandits vibes:

And here is my oufit today. Well, part of it anyway, because my brother, even with his brand new shiny fancy prancy camera, refuses to take photos of me. He thinks people are boring to take photos of. So here are some sneaky pictures I took of my very exciting new tights!!!!

and now also, here is my progress on my zine. It isn't very amazing and I'm not sure it's very good. But here:

it is a work in progress as you can probably see.
And here is a watercolour painting I did in art. It literally took me ten minutes.

ANd finally.

What is the meaning of life?????

ps: soon I will post some more of my story.

So I stand near the buffet and summerse myself in bree

Here is the next bit of my story. It is half of chapter one. Please please please write your critism. Don't be scared, I am a very calm person, usually.

chapter one:

Tangie never had dreams like that. So vivid and three dimensional, like she could taste the air still, and almost feel a dull, constant pain throbbing through her t-shirt. Laughter and distant drunken singing tickled her ears and sparked memories of the dream. Minute details, the smell of oranges, that refused to let go of her. Like they insisted on drawing her back into the graveyard, like she had unfinished business that she didn't quite know how to complete. But of course the gurgling sound of a flushing toilet seized her from the trance and shoved her back into reality.

A twenty hour flight to Paris, complete with crying babies and persistent snoring was the perfect alarm clock.

Tangie Spoof had always pictured going away. Far away. Anywhere but here, she would tell herself. The Universe would open up and swallow her and thrust her into its wide open spaces of opportunities and adventure. Now finally she was going. But unfortunately she was going with an extraordinarily fat woman on her right , whose rolls didn't quite fit into the seat and often encroached into Tangie's personal space. And a short Italian man on her left, whose passionate swear words erupted from his mouth in between rumbling snores.

Her family sat in the seats across the aisle, peacefully asleep next to each other. There had been some confusion with the seats and Tangie as the oldest of the Spoof family had been volunteered to sit by herself. Her eyes started to gently close as a B grade rom com played in the background, filling her ears with fading American accents of actors who no one knew the name of.

Rapid French cursing shot into the empty space, punctuating jabs of piercing pain. The same orange smell suffocated her and damp soil caved in all around her. Panic engulfed her as she spat out dirt and blood. Someone was coming, She couldn't quite understand though. The words were ignored by her brain, it refused to listen, endeavouring to continue the graveyard expedition.

"Please be prepared for our descent."

Her stomach dropped and she jolted awake to see a clean, smiling flight attendant blinking confusedly at her. Clouds rushed past the window and her head churned, struggling to distinguish her strange dream from her reality . The plane jiggled in every direction, thrashing the passengers around as it plunged for the runway. It came to an abrupt halt just as Tangie vomited all over the Italian man.

He woke up in disgust , staring at carrot bits and the regurgitated mush puddle slushing around on his slick Armani suit. With a rude hand gesture he leapt up and left in a huff. Tangie had never vomited on anyone and hoped, quite passionately, that it would never happen again. A revolting aftertaste fresh in her mouth and sagging bags under her eyes, Tangie stepped off the plan breathing in uncontaminated, BO free oxygen.

It was with that she arrived in the most romantic city on earth.

Also, does anybody have any fantastic books or music I should check out?? I am in a new music/books mood.

That's all I really have to say.

all your diction dripping with disdain

Since this weekend I did the 24 hour megaswim, I have no amazing photos. But here is the start of a story I am writing for school, but is probably too long. Plus I don't even know how its going to end yet, which is a bit awkward because I go on about how important and astronomcially life changing it all is and I don't even know what is going to be the massive secret that could change the history of the world.

Here goes:

The dark covered the atmosphere like a blanket and the gravestones stood , old and crumbling. Old forgotten French people lay underneath the dirt, silently living underneath Paris. The scent of orange filled the air. While music drifted through the wind and restaurants , the Pe're Lachaise was quiet. Graveyards are not normally a particularly common meeting place, and yet a five year old stood barefoot on top of her great-great grandfather's grave.

As she looked at the sky and the very thin, smile like moon, she thought of her descendants, all  deep below her, relying on her to carry out their purpose in life. Her face looked dirty and if anyone had seen her there that night they would've looked at her in disgust instead of as the most important person in all of Europe, perhaps even the world. Kneeling down on the grave, she flicked on her torch, letting light spill out all over the tombstone. She revealed, between the lines of Rest in Peace, other words.

More secret words.

She reached into her backpack and removed a very thin silver piece of equipment and started to etch, in very small letters, the most important words in the history of the world. With these words came life changing consequences.

As she started on the very last sentence a jab of pain shot through her stomach, leaving her bloody and unconscious. And then, very discreetly someone pulled her through the damp dirt and into the grave.  Everything went silent and the slight smell of orange disappeared. And the distant laughter of unsuspecting Parisians rang through the night, everyone unaware that tonight's events would cause an astronomical impact on human life.

That is the prolouge. I hope you like it. I will be back soon with more awesomeness:)

and they all would've been killed in the sound of music, and they would've found out that pinocchio could never tell the truth

Today I am here to show you my new awesome jumper that I am in LOVE with. I think it is so so so so so so so so cool and plus its really massive, so when I'm a grandma I can still be groovy and fit into it. It's one of the things I got at the market. You know when you go to a market/ or shop or someones wardrobe and you want to take everything? And then even though you bought stuff, you can't help being a little bit half satisfied deep down, because you felt like there was better stuff out there and you didn't complete the mission properly?

Well, this market was not like that! I went out feeling like I had squeezed all the awesomeness juices out of the market and bought the best stuff for me. Except maybe that muppet jacket, which was so so so fluffy and would've been cool to wear.

Sorry if that was jumper overkill, but seriously it's so awesome! Am I right? I hope I'm right. Now you all have to leave comments saying how good my brother is at photography, so he will willingly take photos of me, instead of me having to resort to bribes. He said people are boring to photograph. Does this jumper look boring to you?!

Okay that's enough with the jumper. Other news is the four day weekend, which is coming to an end. I have just spent over 16 hours watching every Harry Potter movie, for my friends church. Everyone was raising money and we raised over $3,700 to improve schooling for kids in India whose mum's are sex slaves. It was a lot of fun and the first time I (almost) stayed up all night, I did doze off in seven part two and the end of five. So I missed two massive fight scenes. Its okay though, i don't think I will be watching Harry Potter for a LOOOOOONNNGGG time.

and there's gold, falling from the ceiling of this world

I have been tagged AGAIN, by charli, so brace yourself for a random fact attack. Filled with miscellanious information you never needed to know about me. are you excited?

Here are the rules:
1.Post these rules.
2. Post a photo of yourself and then write eleven things about yourself.
3. Answer the questions for you in the original post.
4. Create eleven new questions and then tag three people to answer them.
5. Go to their blogs and tell them you have tagged them

Here is a picture:

11 facts about myself:
  • I have finally signed up to Pottermore and find it amazingly addictive. I haven;t been sorted into my house yet, but "not slytherin, not slytherin, not slytherin."
  • In a quiz I took I found that my patronus would be a badger.
  • I also found I am most like Rachel out of all the Friends characters
  • I am currently listening to Subsititute by the Who
  • I find hair disgusting when it isn't on someone's head, unless it's mine of course, then its beautiful. It is extremely creepy when people keep their kid's first haircut hair, GROSSS. throw it away. If anyone ever said "take some hair to remember me by" I would say "no WAY!" no matter what the situation and how nice the persons hair was.
  • I don't roll up my skirt at school. One of the coolest things I've seen was this school's uniform with really long skirts, everyone else was like "eww, look how long they are", but I thought it looked excellent.
  • I am horrible at bar chords on the ukulele, they always sound yucky.
  • I have a cracking finger habit and now I am always worried my fingers look very crooked, therefore when I do a peace sign, it looks unnatural.
  • I got nutella on my socks today, don't even ask how I did it, I don't remember smooshing the nutella sandwich I had on my socks.
  • I find vegemite really yum, especially with tomato as well (which is how my dad eats his vegemite)
  • I really want to eat some American snack food, if anyone sent me Captain Crunch I would be very excited.

Now the answers:

What is your favourite type of tree?
I don't pay too much attention to trees, but I would have to say a Christmas tree. I know that's not their scientific name or whatever, but the smell is excellent.

If you had a million bukaroos (dollars, in charli language) what would you do with it?
Give some to charity, buy some clothes and a holiday. But first I would lock it away so I didn't impulse buy something incredibly useless, like I don't know, a ******************

What is your most precious skill?
I have this excellent face that makes people want to punch me. But I would exactly call that precious.....

What is the best prank you have ever pulled?
I'm a prank pulling sorta girl. But once I told my brother that "rainbow duckies" was the rudest word in the world, and he belived it. Oh and once our class locked our science teacher out of the class room (well she locked herself out and we pretended not to see), but I had nothing to do with that and only find it 97 percent funny.

What do you regret most?
Not doing things because I was too scared to.

Weirdest relationship you have had or someone else has had?
I hope your not talking about romantic type relationship cause I haven't had any of those. But I'd say a girl at my school and her pet rock called fish, who has recently passed away. And has now been stolen from his resting place in the ground at school near the year twelve boys toilet.

Who is the craziest person ever and why?
YOU of course.

Favourite subject?
Art because we have the best discussions and get to paint at the same time. Maths because its fun and English because I secretly love doing grammar.
Oh and textiles because who doesn't love making clothes.

What is your good luck thing?
I have no good luck thing, lots of things I thought were good luck turn out not to be so good luck, so maybe I should get a lucky thing.

Which relative is your favourite and why?
we have discussed this Charli, I have no favourites. If I can't pick a favourite song, how could I pick a favourite person?

What makes you smile?
Friends, rainbows, llamas, people who are dressed cool, when I get refrences on tv shows and stuff, when I get comments, when my hair looks good.

Now my 11 questions:
1. Favourite movie character?
2. Best holiday ever?
3. Most embarassing thing that has ever ever ever happened to you?
4. Thing that annoys you most about people?
5. Best book ever?
6. If you were president, prime minister, emperor, queen for a day, what would you do?
7. Something you feel most passionately about?
8. Why you decided to start a blog?
9. Do your friends/family know about your blog, and how do they feel about it?
10. If you could chose to make any celebrity dissapear who would it be?
11. What do you think happens after you die?

I am tagging Nell from Majestic Pottery Unicorn, Lillie from Possibly Fiddlesticks and Eva from Style Wandering.

Now I'll leave you with this:
I saw it in the city.

I have some great photos I will show you soon:)

when I grow up I want to be a forrester, run through the moss on high heels

I am zonked from the weekend. For once I had hardly any couch potato time. First I went to Charli's house, in record time of two hours we took some photos, dressed up, read through notes passed during class from year 6 and had time for a quick peanut butter snack. Here's how she painted my face:
Then me and mum went to ROCK the BALLET. It was basically every classic song mushed into an epic dance extravaganza. The first half was all the lovey dovey songs with lots of looking into eachother's eyes and reaching longingly. The second half was my kind of half with lots of shirt taking offness and jumping around.
The only problem was there were some over-enthusiastic rather groovy oldies sitting next to me. The man decided to go WOOOOO at anything that impressed him, such as a person skipping onto stage. Don't get me wrong though it was pretty WOOOOish, and my mum paticulary enjoyed the athletic dancer bodies:) Here is a picture from one of my favourite dances:

brown jacket-retro star sale,
yellow shirt-salvos
velvet pants-sportsgirl,
yellow socks-sportsgirl,
boots-somewhere I can't remeber
Here's a picture mum took of me infront of the NGV. Please notice my velvet pants (!)
Then we went to my cousins house. We played dictionary, and found some interesting words and also discussed Eurovision.

On Sunday we went to a market. I was so so so happy with what I (well, mum) bought. I will definitely show you soon. The coolest things I saw, besides what I bought, was  a dolce and gabbana jacket for $400, a jacket made from a muppet (according to my cousin) and lots of lollies sitting on people's stalls.

But the highlight of my day was when this lady said she liked my style, and some other lady said I was eccentric. And that she could tell I was very bold. Then I also saw these old ladies pointing to the print on my dress, which was all these cats. YAY I was screaming in my head. Now I can't wait to wear all my clothes.

Yellow jumper-salvos,
horse badge-finders keepers market,
boots-can't remeber

Was having a major curly hair day:)

Some awesome grafitti I saw, couldn't take photos quick enough cause we were in the car.

Awesome awesome awesome yarn bombing I saw. By someone called Poppy Tonka.
So had an excellent weekend, had today off from school cause I slept in till 10:30 when normally I'm up at 6:55    :0

Friday, 1 June 2012

I found myself attched to this railroad track, but I'll come back to you someday

Since today is the first of the month I figured I would do a blog post and attempt to do many more this month. As I sit here watching Eurovision I am very happy. It is the grand final that my dad taped for me, so I am watching it on video. Can you believe it?? It's like a blast from the past.

Today I am going to do a fun thingy that the Magic Violinist tagged me for. AND I get to talk all about myself, which is always a bonus:) So here's how it works:

1. Post these rules.
2. Post a photo of yourself and then write eleven things about yourself.
3. Answer the questions for you in the original post.
4. Create eleven new questions and then tag three people to answer them.
5. Go to their blogs and tell them you have tagged them
Here is a picture taken by my friend Charli

Eleven Random Facts You Probably Never Needed To Know:

  3. It takes me at least three attempts to get my hair into a bun, including many upside down struggles.

  7. I sleep with my inspiration book underneath my pillow.

  9. I wish I looked more Italian
  10. I feel bad when I listen to some songs on my ipod more than others because I feel like I am being mean to the singer whose song I don't like. Unless that song is call me maybe, which excuse me is way too frequently played and has taklen over all of our LIVES!
  11.  I am learning the Mario theme song on ukulele:)

Now the questions I get to answer the questions given to me by the Magic Violinist herself:
1.  What is your favourite band?
I really like the Wombats, but I also love Beirut and Angus and Julia Stone.

2.   What qualities do you dislike in people?
I really don't like people who get bored easily. Whenever someone says they're bored, I feel a wierd twisty feeling in my tummy, like I need to entertain them somehow. I don't see how people can get bored when they have the world around them. I would watch grass grow and find something interesting to look at.

3. What do you do when your sad? I listen to some dramatic music and pretend I am a cliche teenager in a movie who's world is falling apart and then I feel much better:)

4. What do you do when you're angry?
I like to write down whats making me so peeved and then I scrunch it up to destroy the evidence. Or I complain to someone, thats always fun.

5. What is your favourite stuffed animal?
I have many teddies, I don't like picking favourites. But I like pink bear, who I have had forever and a teddyish thing called Funfonia (funf for short) that Charli made me:)

6. What is your comfort food and drink?
Peanut butter. I once made a peanut butter smoothie:)

7. If you had one superpower, what would it be?
Flying. I know that's what everyone says, but how cool would it be to freak everyone in a plane out. That or being able to blow a bubble with bubblegum:)

8. What do you want to be when you grow up?
A writer, have my own magazine or have my own little shop, which would be called either HAROLD or dancing prunes.

9. What is your favourite book?
Grafitti Moon!!!! It gave me shivers.

10. What is your favourite movie?
Too hard, way, way, way too hard.

11.If you could add any one decoration to your room, what would it be?
A llama.

Now, here are my new questions for the people I have tagged:
  1. Favourite TV show?
  2. What are your worst fears?
  3. What animal do you most resemble?
  4. What makes you angry?
  5. What is your favourite song at the moment?
  6. If you could meet any famous person who would it be?
  7. Favourite word ever?
  8. What is your favourite thing about yourself?
  9. When is your bedtime?
  10. What is the thing you would most like to change about yourself?
  11. What has been your worst fashion experinece?
I have tagged these three people: Charlotte from the Flowered Fashion, Lee Roxy Girl from My Dream Destinations and Charli from Indiness.

Hope you liked learning some unnecessary, but awesome facts about me. I will be back soon with some excellent photos, I promise.
